American Rental Association (ARA)

ARA is a member directed organization, dependent upon a close working relationship between the membership and association. Associated Equipment Distributors

Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) is an international trade association representing companies involved in the distribution, rental and support of equipment used in construction, mining, forestry, power generation, agriculture and industrial applications. Our 460 distributor member companies account for more than $51 billion of annual sales revenue of construction equipment and related supplies and services in the U.S. and Canada. Our average distributor member achieves more than $111 million per year in revenues, employs 280 people, and has 8 branch locations. AED serves:

  • Independent distributors that sell, rent, and provide aftermarket support for construction equipment and related equipment and products
  • Manufacturers of construction and related equipment and products
  • Suppliers of business services, including finance, insurance, business systems/ERP and others

Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA)

Formed in 1901, the Indiana Manufacturers Association is the second oldest manufacturers association in the country and the only trade association in Indiana that exclusively focuses on manufacturing. The Indiana Manufacturers Association is dedicated to advocating for a business climate that creates, protects and promotes quality manufacturing jobs in Indiana.

Indiana is one of the top manufacturing states in America in wealth and jobs created, sustained and supported. More than 50 percent of all employment in Indiana has some connection to manufacturing.

The staff of the Indiana Manufacturers Association has more than 160 years of combined governmental affairs experience and are recognized experts in many areas including: tax, environment, labor relations, human resources, and health care.

AEM is a trade association that provides services on a global basis for companies that manufacture equipment, products and services used worldwide in the following industries: Agriculture, Construction, Forestry, Mining and Utility. CRA - Serving the Rental Industry for over 60 Years!

The rental industry had its beginnings in California at the end of World War II. Although some rental activity had taken place in the 1930s, it was post-war California that was the breeding ground for the new industry.
